PLMA’s Private Label Tradeshow will be held November 13-15 at the Rosemont Convention Center in Chicago, IL. Supermarkets, super centers, drug chains, mass merchandisers, discounters, convenience stores, importers, exporters, wholesalers and the military exchanges come to the PLMA show to find new products, suppliers and packaging solutions. Product categories range from fresh, frozen and refrigerated foods, beverages, snacks and shelf-stable groceries to household and kitchen, paper and plastics, health and beauty aids and general merchandise...

Cheer Pack North America expanded its manufacturing presence in the New England region by moving into a 30,000-square-foot facility in Plymouth, Mass. The facility in the Plymouth Industrial Park features office and manufacturing space. CPNA has expansion plans to convert films and manufacture pouches, as well as injection molding in the very near future. Cheer Pack North America’s business and staff are growing rapidly and further expansion in New England and the West Coast are already underway.

Cheer Pack North America LLC, the spouted-pouch joint venture of U.S., Italian and Japanese owners, has grown considerably since its launch in the summer of 2010.

The company started with 109,000 square feet of space at blow molder and thermoformer CDF Corp.’s pail and container factory in Plymouth. CPNA recently added 30,000 square feet of manufacturing space, and is scouting its second and third U.S. sites for regional production of its signature Cheer Pack line of spouted, side-gusseted, multilayer laminate pouches...

Plymouth manufacturer is adding 25 jobs

A Plymouth-based distributor of resealable drink pouches plans to add as many as 25 jobs at its plant in town as it shifts pouch manufacturing there from overseas locations.

Cheer Pack North America has added 35 employees since its incorporation last year and plans to add 25 more within the next eight months, according to Amanda Verash-Morris, a spokeswoman for Plymouth-based CDF Corp., one of Cheer Pack’s parent companies...

Earth's Best baby food purees launch in pouches

Smith Design, the New Jersey/California based brand design firm, has created the package design for Hain Celestial’s new Earth’s Best Baby Food Purees. The purees come in resealable pouches and hit shelves in July.

Smith Design worked closely with The Hain Celestial Group to extend their top selling baby food brand into the new pouch format. Pouches are one of several new formats and categories for Earth's Best, whose base line of baby foods come in classic, glass jars.
